David Wagner leads the FQHC Consultants team. He works with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), Health Center Look-Alikes, and Rural Health Centers (RHCs) to strengthen financial performance, operations, and HRSA compliance. He coordinates the firm's consultants, along with outside legal and accounting counsel when needed, to deliver results for each client.

With more than 40 years as a management consultant to physicians and health centers, David brings expertise in every aspect of running a medical practice. He is a contracted Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Operational Site Visit (OSV) fiscal reviewer for Section 330 grantees and Look-Alikes, which gives him a reviewer's view of what health centers need to get right.

David serves as Virtual CFO, Interim CFO, and CFO mentor for health centers, and acts as CFO in the firm's shared CFO system. He leads the virtual finance team across accounting, reimbursement, value-based payments, and accounts payable, and handles HRSA financial and operational reporting, including UDS.

He also provides strategic planning, board training and review, and CEO training and review for the firm's clients.

David holds a Master's in Healthcare Management, summa cum laude, from the University of New Orleans, and an undergraduate degree in International Business and Finance from Loyola University New Orleans.
